Where to go, What to do When You’re Facing a Georgia DUI

You know that your recent DUI arrest is very serious. You’ve never been in trouble with the law before and you have a million questions that no one can seem to answer. But there is someone who can answer your questions and someone who does care about your rights and freedoms. Meet William C. Head, a.k.a. Georgia’s court room “Gladiator”.

William Head has been licensed to practice law in both Georgia and South Carolina since 1976. In 1973, Mr. Head received his bachelor’s degree from in history from the University of Georgia where he graduated with honors. He later went on to receive his law degree in 1976 from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Mr. Head has been named to many prestigious lists including: Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in Business and Industry, Who’s Who in American and the Order of Barristers. While Mr. Head has had extensive experience in criminal defense, he has somehow found the time to be involved with numerous legal educational organizations including: former regent and co-founder of the National College for DUI Defense; Life member, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Life member, Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Founding member and benefactor, South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and more.

You may be wondering if you even need a lawyer. Before deciding whether or not to hire a defense attorney you might want to consider the penalties you’ll face if convicted. Without legal representation you could find yourself with jail time, probation, community service, job loss, loss of your driver’s license, insurance problems, vehicle impoundment, ignition interlock device, alcohol education/assessment/treatment and even restricted interstate or international travel.

If you think you can represent yourself, think again. DUI is one of the most complicated and ever-changing areas of law. Unless you keep up with Georgia code and know the latest drunk driving law, prosecutors’ tactics and defense strategies you won’t have a fair chance in court. You deserve your rights and you deserve a fair defense. And a fair defense starts with the right lawyer.
